Joe is a Lead Analyst in our wholesale team specialising on balancing services, primarily frequency response and reserve services, along with the Balancing Mechanism. This sees him lead the delivery of our GB Frequency Response Markets report focusing on Firm Frequency Response (FFR), and our BM service.

More widely, Joe also has knowledge of wholesale gas, power and commodity markets, both in GB and Ireland, publishing our weekly Irish Energy Market Bulletin.

Joe joined the team back in 2017, having graduated from the University of East Anglia to a masters level in Environmental Science, focusing on climate change and energy policy, UK energy generation, hydraulic fracturing and nuclear power
